Race Results

    April 2009

After last year's unfortunate tangle with another race car, the Pinto needed some body work. I decided to change out the front end so I had Teddy Houser at Teddy Houser Race Cars install a new one piece fiberglass front end. The car also had a staggered front end which in theory was supposed to give me an advantage off the starting line, but I did not find it useful. I had Teddy remove the stagger as well. Additionally, the wheelie bars were of unequal length so Teddy made them the same length and had them powder coated. I picked up the car two weeks ago and I have been testing and tuning it to get it to its peak performance. After some adjusting by Fast Eddie Thornburg, the car is ready for the new racing season. As usual the race season came up too quickly and unfortunately I have not had time to have the Pinto painted, but stay tuned for its new paint job. Please look at the pictures section of this site to see shots of the car with its new front end. The first race I will particpate in is a PTRA event at Z-max Dragway in Charlotte scheduled on April 18, 2009.
